Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THEORETICAL, METHODOLOGICAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE OF DOCIMOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS.

THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE A GENERAL VIEW OF THE ACTIVITY OF ASSESSMENT AS AN ELEMENT STRONGLY RELATED TO LEARNING-TEACHING PROCESSES, AND A CRITICAL PRESENTATION OF THEORIES, MODELS AND TOOLS FOR ASSESSMENT.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: AT THE END OF THE TEACHING PERIOD, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO DEFINE THE TERMS EVALUATION, TESTING, MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT; DESCRIBE THE MAIN ASSESSMENT MODELS AND EVALUATION TOOLS; EXPLAIN THE KEY STAGES OF THE EVALUATION PROCESS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OBJECTIVES, TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT; DESIGN THE MAIN ASSESSMENT TOOLS; DESCRIBE HOW COMPETENCIES ARE ASSESSED.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY JUDGE THE SIGNIFICANT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT, AND THE MANY DIFFERENT PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE ASSESSMENT TOOLS ARE DEVELOPED.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO SPEAK ABOUT THE MAIN SCIENTIFIC-METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES OF ASSESSMENT USING THE SPECIALIZED TERMINOLOGY OF THE SECTOR.

LEARNING SKILLS: STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO DEEPEN THE SCIENTIFIC-METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES CONCERNING THE ASSESSMENT IN A COMPLETELY AUTONOMOUS AND EFFICIENT WAY.

THIS COURSE IS INTENDED AS A FIRST INTRODUCTION TO TOOLS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSMENT USING IN THE TRAINING PROCESS. THE COURSE WILL ANALYZE THE MAIN SCIENTIFIC-METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES CONCERNING THE ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING. IN PARTICULAR, THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE DEALT WITH:
-BASIC CONCEPTS IN ASSESSMENT
-THEORIES, PRINCIPLES AND MODELS OF ASSESSMENT
- THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT
-THE MAIN TOOLS OF ASSESSMENT
-THE ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCIES
-THE NEW ASSESSMENT
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL BE COMPRISED OF HEURISTIC LECTURES, GROUP WORK AND THE POSSIBILITY FOR STUDENTS TO APPLY FOR ACCESS TO THE PLATFORM AUGMENTEACH (WWW.AUGMENTEACH.UNISA.IT).
THE HEURISTIC LECTURES ALLOW YOU TO COLLECTIVELY BUILD THE FIELD OF DISCOURSE BY ALTERNATING SHORT EXPOSURES TO MOMENTS OF CONFRONTATION IN WHICH STUDENTS WILL BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN ASKING QUESTIONS, EXPOSING IDEAS, QUESTIONING, AND REFLECTING CRITICALLY. EXPOSURES WILL BE SUPPORTED BY SLIDE (POWERPOINT TYPE).
THE GROUP WORK PROVIDES FOR COLLABORATIVE WORK IN A SMALL GROUP TO BUILD A MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION TESTS AND A RUBRIC FOR ASSESSMENT. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ON REAL OBJECTS THAT HAVE SIGNIFICANT GOALS IN THE CONTEXT OF THEIR FUTURE WORK. STUDENTS WILL LEARN THROUGH THE TRANSFORMATION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE INTO PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE.
THE PLATFORM WILL SERVE AS AN ENVIRONMENT FOR ONGOING COMMUNICATION, IDEAS SHARING AND A CONTINUOUSLY GROWING DATABASE.
Verification of learning
STUDENTS LEARNING WILL BE ASSESSED THROUGH AN ORAL EXAM. THE PURPOSE OF THE ORAL EXAM IS TO TEST THE STUDENT’S ABILITY TO RESPOND CRITICALLY AND COHERENTLY, USING THE SPECIALIST LANGUAGE IN A CORRECT AND PERTINENT WAY. THE ORAL EXAM WILL BE BEGIN WITH A BROAD QUESTION, NOT OVERLY SPECIFIC, ON THE COURSE CONTENT, FOR ENABLING STUDENTS TO PRODUCE A RICH AND ARTICULATE ARGUMENTATION USING ALL THEIR OWN KNOWLEDGE. THEN, IT WILL CONTINUE WITH MORE SPECIFIC QUESTIONS. THE EXAM SCORE IS GIVEN FROM18 TO 30, AND POSSIBLE PRAISE, BASED ON KNOWLEDGE OF THE COURSE CONTENTS (AT LEAST THREE), COMBINED WITH ADEQUATE LANGUAGE AND LOGICAL SKILLS, ACCURACY IN DEFINITIONS, CONGRUENCE OF THE THEORETICAL REFERENCES.
