Objectives

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:STUDENTS WILL HAVE ACQUIRED THE MAIN KNOWLEDGE OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS USEFUL TO UNDERSTANDING THE DECISION PROCESS OF INDIVIDUALS AND FIRMS AND THE FUNCTIONING MECHANISMS OF MARKETS.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE PRINCIPLES AND MICROECONOMIC MODELS TO REAL-WORLD PHENOMENA INVOLVING THE BEHAVIOUR OF INDIVIDUALS AND FIRMS, THE FUNCTIONING OF THE MARKETS AND THE STATE INTERVENTION IN THE ECONOMY.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS:STUDENTS WILL BE MOTIVATED TO MAKE CONTEXTUAL THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE IN ORDER TO DEVELOP CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC ISSUES AND DISPUTES OF ECONOMIC POLICY.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: STUDENTS WILL GAIN ABILITY TO EXPOSE MICROECONOMIC ISSUES AND PROBLEMS WITH A CORRECT AND SIMPLE LANGUAGE, EVEN TARGETED TO A CLEAR AND EFFECTIVE TRANSMISSION OF THEM IN A INTERDISCIPLINARY CONTEXT, IN PRESENCE OF NOT EXPERTS IN THE FIELD.

LEARNING SKILLS:STUDENTS WILL GAIN CAPACITY TO EXPAND AND DEEPEN ON THEIR OWN ISSUES RELATED TO MICROECONOMIC ANALYSIS .

Prerequisites
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ANALYTIC GEOMETRY: CARTESIAN COORDINATES, LINEAR FUNCTIONS AND THEIR REPRESENTATION, INTERCEPTS AND ANGULAR COEFFICIENT.

THE FINAL EXAM IS WRITTEN AND ORAL .

THE JUDGEMENT WILL AIM TO ASCERTAIN THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES AND UPON THE LEVEL OF THEM REACHED BY THE STUDENT.

DURING AND AT THE END OF THE COURSE WILL BE HELD TWO WRITTEN TESTS.
