Objectives
THE TEACHING IS AIMED AT PROVIDING THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE THE LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE OF AT LEAST LEVEL B1-B2 OF THE EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE THROUGH THE APPROACH TO LANGUAGES, THEMES AND SPECIALIZED TEXTS. THE AIM OF THE TEACHING IS TO CONSOLIDATE AND DEEPEN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE PREVIOUSLY ACQUIRED. FURTHERMORE, IT IS PROPOSED TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO THE STUDY OF THE SOCIAL, LINGUISTIC AND POLITICAL HISTORY OF SPAIN AND THE HISPANIC-SPEAKING COUNTRIES.
Prerequisites
THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE OF LEVEL B1 OF THE EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE AND THE PASSING OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL TEST OF "LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND INSTITUTIONS OF THE SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES I" ARE PREREQUISITES.

THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO USE THE LANGUAGE IN AN ACTIVE AND ARTICULATED WAY, ALSO ACQUIRING A REFLECTION ABILITY ON THE SAME KNOWING THE FORMAL STRUCTURE IN ORDER TO DEVELOP A DEEPER AND RATIONAL UNDERSTANDING OF ITSELF. THE SECTOR TERMINOLOGY WILL BE INTRODUCED THROUGH THE READING AND ANALYSIS OF POLITICAL AND SOCIAL ITEMS FROM THE SPANISH PRESS. AT THE END OF THE LESSONS THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE HAVING ACQUIRED A KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE SUITABLE FOR THIS LEVEL AND TO HAVE DEVELOPED A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ON CULTURE AND ON HISPANIC CIVILIZATION, IN ADDITION TO THE USE OF USE OF THE PRACTICER. CORRECTED FORMAL ELEMENTS. FURTHERMORE, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE HAVING ACQUIRED COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND KNOWING HOW TO COMMUNICATE OPINIONS AND IDEAS AUTONOMOUSLY AND CORRECTLY, ARGUMENTS OF EVERYDAY LIFE AND EXAMINATION, TO KNOW HOW TO GIVE INFORMATION, ETC.
THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE LESSONS ARE: FUTURE (2 HOURS); CONDITIONAL (2 HOURS); SUBJECTIVE (8 HOURS); INDICATIVE / CONJUNCTIVE ALTERNATION IN SUBSTANTIVE, TEMPORAL, DESIRING, CAUSAL, FINAL, CONSECUTIVE, MODAL, COMPARATIVE, CONDITIONAL AND CONCESSIVE ORATIONS (14); IMPERATIVE (2 HOURS); VERB PERIPHRASES WITH INFINITY, GERUNDIUM AND PARTICIPATE (4 HOURS); SPEECH MARKERS (4 HOURS); PASSIVE FORM (2 HOURS); INDIRECT STYLE (2 HOURS). THE GRAMMATICAL THEMES WILL BE INTERVALED BY THE READING AND RELEVANT COMMENT OF CULTURAL TOPICS.

Teaching Methods
THERE ARE 40 HOURS OF FRONTAL TEACHING HELD IN SPANISH.
Verification of learning
THERE ARE TWO TESTS, ONE WRITTEN (LASTING 1 HOUR) AND ONE ORAL (LASTING 15-20 MINUTES. THE WRITTEN TEST IS PREPARATORY TO THE ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN TEST INCLUDES MULTIPLE CHOICE EXERCISES, COMPLETION AND TRANSLATION CONCERNING GRAMMATICAL AND LEXICAL TOPICS. THE ORAL EXAM CONSISTS IN CARRYING OUT A GENERAL CONVERSATION IN SPANISH, THE DISCUSSION ON THE GRAMMATICAL AND SOCIO-CULTURAL TOPICS COVERED DURING THE LESSONS. THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE HIS ABILITY TO USE THE SPANISH LANGUAGE TO EXPRESS OPINIONS AND IDEAS AND TO KNOW THE ELEMENTS OF CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION CONCERNING SPAIN AND SOME HISPANIC COUNTRIES.
