Objectives
STUDENTS WILL HAVE A BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE EVOLUTION OF THE RELIGIOUS PHENOMENON IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE EUROPEAN LEGAL SYSTEM (EUROPEAN UNION AND COUNCIL OF EUROPE).
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CORRECTLY INTERPRET THE WAYS THROUGH IN WHICH THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IS TODAY A RIGHT OF FUNDAMENTAL IMPORTANCE IN THE LIGHT OF INTERCONNECTIONS BETWEEN CONSTITUTIONAL AND EUROPEAN PRINCIPLES.
THE PURPOSE OF THE COURSE IS TO DEVELOP IN THE STUDENTS THE ABILITY TO RESPOND TO CHANGING LANDASCAPE OF THE EUROPEAN LEGAL SYSTEM AND THE WAYS IN WHICH THIS "DIMENSION" ENRICHED OF POLITICAL AND REGULATORY CONTENTS THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AFFECTS IN PARTICULAR THE RIGHT TO RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF PUBLIC LAW AND ITALIAN AND EUROPEAN HISTORY

THE CONSTITUTIONAL PROJECT OF RELIGIOUS PHENOMENON REGULATION - THE SOURCES OF THE DISCIPLINE OF THE RELIGIOUS PHENOMENON - THE SYSTEM OF JUDICIAL PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN EUROPE - THE REGULATORY SYSTEMS OF REFERENCE - RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IN THE CASE LAW OF THE EUROPEAN COURTS - SCENARIOS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT, THE COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (LUXEMBOURG) AND THE EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS (STRASBOURG).
Teaching Methods
STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERTAKE THIS COURSE IN DIFFERENT STEPS. THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT NORMATIVE REGULATORY INSTRUMENTS (LAWS, TREATIES, JUDGMENTS, ETC..) AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF WRITTEN PAPERS, WE WILL SEEK TO DEVELOP A PROCESS FOR THE SELECTION OF TOPICS USEFUL TO AMELIORATE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE TOPIC.
Verification of learning
THERE WILL BE A MID-TERM EXAM (NOT COMPULSORY). THE FINAL EXAM WILL TAKE PLACE ORALLY AND THE FINAL MARK WILL BE BASED BOTH ON THE RESULT OF THE EXERCISE, AND ON THE ASSESSMENT OF THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING, ANALYSIS AND PRESENTATION SKILLS OF THE SUBJECT AS A WHOLE.
