I Giochi Universitari Europei sono l’evento multisportivo di punta dell’EUSA. Ogni due anni, migliaia di studenti-atleti provenienti da tutto il continente si sfidano in un prestigioso torneo che celebra lo sport universitario. Dopo il successo dell’edizione 2024 in Ungheria (con oltre 5.000 partecipanti), il testimone passa ufficialmente all’Italia: Salerno ospita l’edizione 2026 dal 18 luglio al 1 agosto
Il Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche e Statistiche (DISES) parteciperà all'iniziativa il 20 luglio alle ore 16:30 in Aula Pecoraro con il seguente panel:
- Let’s play with DISES but with Economic, Statistical and Legal Skills: The first presentation explores the causes and consequences of coaching changes in Italian football during 2010–2019. The presentation combines machine learning techniques with competing risk models, showing how data-driven methods can distinguish between voluntary departures and management-led dismissals. The second one aims to illustrate the legal dimension of the sporting phenomenon. It focuses on the definition of the concept of 'sport', the identification of the relevant regulatory sources, and the analysis of the complex associative network that governs sports at the global, continental, and national levels.
