Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS ARE: A) KNOWLEDGE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SOCIOLOGICAL CATEGORIES OF THE CLASSICAL TRADITION; B) THE CAPACITY OF APPLICATION KNOWLEDGE TO SOCIAL PHENOMENA; C)THE CAPACITY TO USE THE CATEGORY; D) TO SPEAK ABOUT THE CONCEPTS AT PUBLIC SPECIALIZED AND NO SPECIALIZED; E)CAPACITY TO IMPROVE KNOWLEDGE IN THE ADVANCED STUDIES.
AUTONOMY JUDGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIVE ABILITY IN THE USE OF SOCIAL THEORIES.
Prerequisites
BASIC LEVEL OF PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY.

THE COURSE INTRODUCE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF SOCIOLOGICAL REFLECTION THROUGH THE STUDY OF THEORIC FORMULATIONS AND CONCETTING CONSTRUCTION, AND BY THE NECESSARY ACQUISITION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF SOCIAL AND INTELLECTUAL ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THEY WERE BROUGHT AND DEVELOPED. THE COURSE INTRODUCES THE STUDENT TO THE HISTORICAL AND SOCIAL ORIGINS IN WHICH THE INTERESTS, IDEAS AND INTELLECTUAL INVESTMENTS OF SOCIAL FOUNDERS INCLUDED, IN PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE CLASSICAL SOCIOLOGISTS. IN PARTICULAR THEORIES: STRUCTURALISM, FUNCTIONALISM, CONFLICT, CRITIC, PHENOMENOLOGY, SYMBOLIC INTERACTIONISM.
Teaching Methods
LESSONS AND EXERCISES IN THE CLASSROOMS OR ONLINE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY COVID-19.
THE TEACHING OF HISTORY OF THE SOCIOLOGICAL THOUGHTS PROVIDES A TOTAL OF 60 HOURS OF DIDACTICS IN THE CLASSROOM.
IN THE COURSE OF LESSONS, THE PRESENTATION OF THE COMPARED THEMES WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE DISCUSSION OF EXEMPLIFICATIONS AND CASE STUDIES. WE CAN USE MODALITIES E-LEARNING OR BLENDED IF THE EMERGENCE COVID-19 NOT PERMITS FACE-TO-FACE COURSE.
Verification of learning
LEARNING VERIFICATION WILL BE BY AN ORAL EXAMINATION TO VERIFY:
- LEVELS OF KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING OF THE CONCEPTS AND THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PROSPECTIVES;
- THE CAPACITY, DESCRIPTION AND INTERPRETATION OF THE TYPICAL CULTURAL PROCESSES OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY;
- THE LEVEL OF AUTONOMY AND THE CRITICAL SENSE IN THE USE OF STUDIES AND THEORETICAL APPROACHES;
- THE ABILITY TO EMPLOY AND COMPARE DIFFERENT THEORETICAL APPROACHES;
- THE ABILITY TO PRESENT CATEGORIES AND APPROACHES DESIGNED CLEARLY
