Opportunità Formative Advanced School on Exoplanetary Science: Astrophysics of Transiting Exoplanets
The Physics Department “E.R. Caianiello” of the University of Salerno, in cooperation with the University of Rome 2 Tor Vergata and the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), organize the 5th edition of the Advanced School on Exoplanetary Science. This is an international school dedicated to graduate students, PhDs, and Post-Docs interested in the field of extrasolar planets.
The school will take place in Vietri sul Mare from 22 to 26 May 2023. The lectures will be on the following topics:
Statistics of Transiting Exoplanets: prof. Courtney Dressing, University of California at Berkeley, USA
Accurate radii and masses: Dr. Aldo Bonomo, INAF - Turin Astrophysical Observatory, Italy
Multi-transiting systems: prof. Eric Ford, Pennsylvania State University, USA
Transiting exoplanet atmospheres: prof. Laura Kreidberg, Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Germany
Atmospheric escape: Dr. James Owen, Imperial College London, UK
