Access to the three-year degree course in Philosophy, L 5
In order to be admitted to the course of study, one must hold an upper secondary school diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable under the laws in force.
Foreign citizens legally residing in Italy must also submit the following documents from July 15, 2023 until September 30, 2023 by sending an email to carrierestudenti.dispac@unisa.it :
- final title of secondary studies in original with its official translation in Italian;
- declaration of value in loco issued by the competent Italian Representation. This declaration must show that the upper secondary school qualification corresponds to at least 12 years of schooling, in addition to the grade achieved with the value scale to which the grade refers;
Non-EU citizens must also submit a copy of their residence permit.
Type of access
For the academic year 2023-2024, the degree course in Philosophy is open to all those who hold a High School Diploma or other equivalent qualification.
However, it is compulsory to take an Assessment Test, which will be held online. Registration for the test, following registration with the University's IT system using SPID, must take place in accordance with the procedures indicated on the following pages:

As of 17 July 2023, it will be possible to register for the test, which will be deemed finalised following the payment of a fee, available in the 'Payments' section of your user area, to be completed by the deadline of 09 September 2023, using exclusively the pagoPA electronic payment system.
Entry tests taken at other universities and TOLCs will not be considered valid for enrolment on the degree course in Philosophy.

Preliminary knowledge verification
Adequacy of initial preparation is verified by means of a specific test aimed at verifying logic skills, comprehension, and contextualisation of a written text, knowledge inherent to the specific field of study, and general culture.
Description and structure of the Assessment Test
The test will take place online on a Moodle platform and will be structured in the form of 30 multiple-choice questions, of which only one correct answer is accepted for each question, on the following topics:
- comprehension and contextualisation of written texts: 19 questions
- Logic skills and competence relating to the specific field of study (Logic and General Culture): 11 questions.
Each correct answer will be awarded one point. Each incorrect answer or answer not given will be awarded 0 points. There are no penalties.
The time available for the Assessment Test will be 1 hour.
The test will be held on September 12, 2023 09:30 am (from 08:30 am identification of candidates)
Technical tests will be held on the following dates:
05/09/2023 09:00->14:00 hours
06/09/2023 09:00->14:00 hours.

Knowledge required to pass the Assessment Test:
- language skills and cultural knowledge usually acquired in high schools and humanities colleges;
- logic skills;
- ability to understand and contextualise a written text.
Allocation Modalities
The Assessment Test is considered passed if the student has correctly answered at least half plus one of the proposed questions. Candidates who have not obtained the minimum mark, i.e. those in the last tenth of the ranking list, are assigned specific additional training obligations.
Conditions for the fulfilment of Additional Learning Requirements (OFA – Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi)
The Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) must be completed within the first year of the course, by means of remedial activities organised by the teaching structure, attendance at which will be subject to assessment. A final exam will assess whether the Additional Learning Requirements have been acquired, as a preliminary condition for taking exams in the second year.
Registration
After taking the Assessment Test, applicants must wait for the results to be published on the website in order to complete their online enrolment in accordance with the procedures therein indicated.
Enrolment on the degree course must take place exclusively online, through the personal area on the UNISA website no later than 13 October 2023
Course transitions, transfers, and career shortenings
The Assessment Test is also compulsory in the event of a change of course, transfer from another university, students who have renounced the completion of other university courses, or obtaining a second academic qualification, except for those who meet the requirements for direct access to years subsequent to the first year.
When candidates register for the test, they must follow the procedures indicated in the following links and then wait for notification of their enrolment, which will take place ex officio.

Considering the deadline for submitting the application for a change of course and the wait for a career assessment for eventual access to years subsequent to the first year, it is advisable in any case to enroll in the Assessment Test.

Access arrangements for students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders–SLD (Disturbi Specifici di Apprendimento–DSA): assistance with Assessment Test
Candidates with a certificate of civil invalidity or disability certification as per Article 3, paragraphs 1 and 3 of Law no. 104 of 1992 or with a diagnosis of Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) as per Law no. 170 of 2010, may benefit from special aids or compensatory measures in the performance of the admission test, by making an explicit request.
The diagnosis of SLD must have been issued to the minor applicant no more than three years after the date on which the application for assistance was submitted or, if they are adult, it must have been updated after their 18th birthday. The certification must have been issued by Public Bodies or Facilities and/or by professionals accredited with the Regional/National Health Service.
It should also be noted that the use of any medical equipment must be authorised in advance by the Right to Study Office.
Candidates with a civil invalidity/disability or with SLD must submit a request for assistance, accompanied by documentation, by e-mail to the Right to Study Office (dirstu@unisa.it) no later than fifteen days before the date of the chosen Assessment Test.

Non-EU foreign students
Non-EU citizens residing abroad may participate in the test by observing, exclusively, the inter-ministerial provisions relating to procedures for the entry, residence, and enrolment of foreign/international students on higher education courses in Italy for the academic year 2023–2024 published on the MUR website at http://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/.
Candidates in possession of a qualification obtained abroad must provide evidence of the qualification accompanied by its official translation into Italian, as well as legalisation and a declaration of worth from the Italian diplomatic-consular representative competent for their territory; in the event of a request to shorten the course, they must produce a certificate of academic studies already completed abroad specifying the examinations passed and accompanied by official documentation on the syllabus of the modules they studied.
For the academic year 2023–2024, the pre-enrolment procedure for non-EU citizens will take place via the digital portal UNIVERSITALY. On this platform, applicants will upload all the documents required for their admission to degree courses.
The Italian language test, compulsory for non-EU candidates, will be organised by the University of Salerno on a date to be announced. It will be the responsibility of the University's International Relations-Erasmus Office to inform candidates of the details of the test.
Non-EU citizens residing abroad who wish to take the Assessment Test must have taken and passed the Italian language proficiency test first; then follow all the registration procedures indicated in the preceding paragraphs.
On the day of the Assessment Test, candidates must present themselves with their passport with the specific 'study' entry visa or residence permit, if any, or with the receipt certifying that they have applied for the permit.
