Master’s Degree in Law
Educational Objectives
The Master’s degree in Law ensures a high level legal training and the mastery of cultural and methodological instruments essential for an appropriate approach to specific or general legal issues, in general or specific cases. The course of study, focusing on the knowledge and the awareness of the techniques of legal arguments, provides the foundations for the development of the interpretative skills needed both for the practice of the legal profession and the assumption of duties in the various fields of social and economic activities, where the evaluation and decision-making abilities of the jurist are necessary.
The course of study prepares the students for the profession of:
management specialist in public administration
public security specialist
specialist of the management and control of private companies
human resources specialist
work organization specialist
lawyer
legal expert in business
legal expert in public bodies
notary
magistrate
Course Information:
The duration is 5 years.
The maximum number of exams is 30. For the purpose of calculation are taken into account the basic training activities and 5 specific, similar or additional activities at student’s choice.
Attendance is recommended, whilst it is mandatory for laboratory activities.

Admission requirements and verification procedures
To be eligible for the Master’s degree single cycle, students must hold a higher secondary school leaving certification or other recognized equivalent qualification achieved abroad. Basic knowledge of the Italian language is recommended. The entry test will be held within the first ten days of September, consisting of a multiple-choice test, for which students must register in due time, dealing with general culture, text comprehension, logic and civic education. Note that also students who do not meet the required minimum threshold are allowed to register. Contents, terms and operating methods of the test are yearly defined in the Manifesto degli Studi and published on the University website.
Internships
Supervised by a University tutor, students can be apprenticed to the headquarters of highly qualified public and private structures with whom special conventions have been entered into. The activity aims at verifying and put into practice, through direct working experience, the skills acquired throughout the course of study. Internships are assigned 6 CFU, for an overall of 150 hours. Learning outcomes are verified through an oral and written report on the activities performed and evaluated with a judgement of eligibility (eligible/not eligible).
Right to Education
Residencies and grants are assigned by ADISU, Azienda per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario, according to income and merit, as determined by the regional law.
