Ingegneria Informatica International
DIEM carries out an intensive internationalization activity through which all students enrolled in the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes in Computer Engineering can study abroad, complete their thesis or internship abroad, or obtain a double degree.
Furthermore, the Department has a dedicated Internationalization Committee that promotes internationalization activities in education (double-degree programmes), student mobility (incoming and outgoing), academic staff mobility, and research, by fostering collaborations with foreign universities and research institutions.
ERASMUS+ Programme
Who is it for?
The Erasmus+ Programme allows every student to benefit from a study or traineeship period abroad for a maximum of 12 months during each study cycle (Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and PhD).
How to join the programme
Access to the programme is very simple. Students only need to complete the online application available in the UNISA International section of the University website, either for Study Mobility or for Traineeship Mobility.
In the application, students must indicate one of the destination universities with which our Department has signed an agreement.
Students are advised to consult the academic contact person responsible for the destination university when selecting the courses to be taken during the mobility period.
Double Degree Master’s Programme in Computer Engineering
The Double Degree Master’s Programme in Computer Engineering, jointly designed by the Department of Information and Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM) of the University of Salerno (UNISA) and the National Graduate School of Engineering of Caen (École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Caen - ENSICAEN), allows selected students to attend courses at both institutions and obtain a double degree recognized both in Italy (Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering) and in France (Diplôme d’Ingénieur de l’ENSICAEN, Spécialité Informatique).
How to Participate
To participate in the Double Degree Programme, students must submit an application in accordance with the procedures and deadlines specified in the call for applications, which is published annually around the month of April. The mobility period is funded for 12 of the 18 months through an Erasmus+ grant.
Admission Requirements
The Double Degree Programme is reserved for students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programme in Computer Engineering at the University of Salerno. A CEFR B1 level in French is recommended.

Path UNISA → ENSICAEN
To obtain the double degree, UNISA students must complete the study path described below.
The programme concludes with a final thesis/internship in Italy worth 18 ECTS credits. The total number of ECTS credits required to obtain the double degree is 150.
