Path of excellence in "Superior strategies for the knowledge and enhancement of Cultural Heritage"

As part of the master's degree courses in Archaeology and Ancient Cultures (LM-2), History and Art Criticism (LM-89), Management and Enhancement of Archives and Libraries (LM-5) and Performing Arts and Multimedia Production (LM-65), the Path of Excellence is activated in order to enhance the training of deserving students interested in in-depth activities, of cultural integration and approaches to the methodology of scientific research.

Interested students

Students enrolled in the 1st year of the 2023/2024 cohort of the master's degree courses in Archaeology and Ancient Cultures (LM-2), History and Art Criticism (LM-89), Management and Enhancement of Archives and Libraries (LM-5) and Performing Arts and Multimedia Production (LM-65).

Admission requirements

Have obtained, by the deadline of the call for applications, all the exams relating to the courses activated in the first semester, reporting a weighted average evaluation of not less than 28/30 and an evaluation in the individual exams of not less than 24/30.

Learning objectives

  • To enhance historical, historical-critical, theoretical and methodological knowledge of archaeological, artistic, archival-book, performing arts and multimedia production.
  • Develop a broad ability to find and manage cultural data to be translated into professionalization of the skills of students enrolled in the Path of Excellence
  • To provide a full awareness of post-graduate courses both in the academic and higher education fields, and in the working world specialized in financing, management and communication of research projects.

Planned activities

The Excellence Path is divided into the following four modules of 45 hours each:

  1. Strategies for the knowledge of the archaeological heritage
  2. Tools for the knowledge of the biblio-archival heritage
  3. Art history, art criticism and cultural heritage. Methodologies and new perspectives
  4. Performing arts and multimedia production crafts

The complex of additional training activities involves a total commitment of 180 hours of offer for the student, divided as follows: 120 hours between lectures, conferences, workshops and activities; 60 hours dedicated to written papers. Selected students must follow at least 100 hours of teaching activities.

Scholarship

4 bonus contributions of 500 euros will be awarded to the students who have carried out the best reports (four for each student) on the topics covered during the training activities of the module, which will be evaluated by a special commission chaired by the Delegate for Paths of Excellence.

How to submit the application for admission

The application for admission must be submitted using the dedicated computer application on the PICA page: https://pica.cineca.it/unisa/dispac-2024-eccell/domande.

The IT application, activated from 20 May 2024, will necessarily require the possession of an e-mail address in order to self-register with the system.

The candidate must enter all the data required for the production of the application and attach the documents in electronic PDF format.

Other forms of sending the application and the related documentation useful for participation in the procedure are not allowed.

In the application, candidates must clearly indicate their surname and name, date and place of birth, tax code, telephone number, e-mail and any PEC; they must also declare, under their own responsibility, that they meet the requirements of this notice.

The application form must be completed in all its parts, as indicated in the online procedure and must include:

  1. copy of identification document (valid);
  2. declaration in lieu of certification, made pursuant to art. 46 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, of registration

The procedure for filling in and sending the application electronically must be completed no later than 11:59 pm on 20 June 2024.
