Information for outgoing students


Erasmus+ International Mobility for Study:

Within the Erasmus Program it is possible to study abroad for a period of a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12. Upon return, the exams passed during the mobility will be recognized as a part of the individual study programme. For further information please visit the following link: Opportunities for Students.

N.B.: For the Master degree in Mathematics (LM-40), those who have carried out studies abroad in the Erasmus programme will be awarded an additional point to their degree final mark.

Thesis abroad:

Students enrolled in one of the Master's degree of the University of Salerno can carry out (fully or partially) the thesis work at an academic or research institutions abroad, choosing any destination and institution in the world.

The University of Salerno provides scholarships to carry out the thesis work abroad issueing each year a call for applications. The applicant must submit a research project in Italian and English which outlines the research objectives, motivation and themes to be explored during their stay abroad.

Erasmus+ International Mobility for Traineeship:

Mobility for Traineeship allows the student to carry out an internship period abroad for a minimum period of 2 months and a maximum of 12.

The mobility can be carried out during the normal course of study or within the maximum limit of 12 months from the achievement of the degree. To carry out the internship as a graduate, it is necessary to participate in the call and be selected while still in possession of student status. Furthermore, for the Traineeship, the student can find a host institution (company, university, school) independently or with the help of a teacher.

ERASMUS Program Presentations:

Every year a member of the Department's Internationalization Committee presents opportunities for outgoing students. During the meeting some partner universities present their institutions and students who have previoulsy been on mobility tell about their experience. The dates of the meeting are advertized on the web page of the Department.

Credits awarded to students on study mobility:

6 CFU for 1 mobility in a.y. 2021/2022
18 CFU for 1 mobility in a.y. 2022/2023
48 CFU for 3 mobilities in a.y. 2023/2024

All courses are taught in Italian, some courses can be taught in English if explicitly requested. All teachers of the Department speak English. Exams can be done in English upon request.
