The MSc in Business Innovation and Informatics is offered by the Departement of Business Science, Management and Innovation Systems / DISA-MIS of the University of Salerno. The "Business Innovation and Informatics" course weaves academic excellence and relevant networking prospects, to help graduates kick-start their international careers as responsible managers, finance executives, entrepreneurs, or business consultants. Using an innovative learning approach that balances acade mic rigor with managerial relevance, the program includes two curricula that consist of core courses in the functional areas of management and elective courses that offer specialized knowledge and real-life examples in the areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, International Management and Informatics. The program encourages students to experience another culture through Double Degree Programs: Computational Intelligence & Data Analitics and Security and awareness. This full-time study program comprises 120 ECTS spread over 4 semesters (usual duration 2 years) and is entirely held in English. The course of studies through international agreements under construction with the University of Portsmouth (UK) and Masaryk University (Czech Republic) is nominated for (seeks) the recognition of the double title to its learners.

The degree course in "Business Innovation and Informatics" has been designed to provide graduates from a wide variety of backgrounds with the necessary tools and skills for understanding complex information technology (IT) problems while, at the same time, knowing about the needs and requirements of a modern organization. On the one hand, graduates from this MSc will have sufficient knowledge in Management and in Informatics to be able to interact with the IT department of an organization. This includes a profound understanding of the technical issues involved, the evaluation of technical proposals, and the ability to articulate possible solutions to the organization or customer. On the other hand, they also understand the tactical and strategic use of IT to enhance the efficiency of an organization and know how to explain the requirement of the users in terms that can be understood by the IT department or client. The interdisciplinary knowledge of a graduate in Business Innovation and Informatics aims to combine computer skills with their managerial skills, helping to form new professionals able to act as integrators of different skills and approaches to be used in decision making, data management for operational activities innovative, in the analysis of large amounts of data accumulated over time to produce information to support decisions. In modern organizations must effectively develop new types of decision-making, combining the insight and experience the ability to manage the information extracted from the data collected with the analytical methods of Business Intelligence. In this context the offer of graduates with specific knowledge of Computer Science and Management tends to continuously improve the competitiveness of the economic and social actors. Graduates in Business Innovation and Informatics will be able to carry out analysis of data in support of decision making processes, through the use of advanced methodologies for the design, development, construction management, estimating, testing and management of computer systems operational or innovative directional. This Master offers a balanced combination of courses that cover the necessary background in management as well as the fundamental aspects of current and evolving information technologies. Moreover, the programme provides students with a specialized knowledge in topics at the interface between management and informatics such as enterprise resource planning. Since English is the unique teaching language, graduates are well-prepared to work in international companies. Moreover, the interdisciplinary approach of this Master provides a general skill to work across traditional areas.

Organization
The legal duration of the Master's degree course is two years. It can also sign up for part-time, according to the rules established by the University. This Master combines lectures to cover the theoretical aspects with hands-on labs for conveying the relevant practical elements, through specific project works. It also provided a practical application of the content of study to be carried out in the Laboratory under the guidance of the teacher.In particular, the project works will take place either in parallel with lessons , either in an interdisciplinary mode (as a connection between different teachings). The project work will be studied even within the business companies partner of the study program and will cover the resolution of the complex real-world problems. The Master Degree in Business Innovation and Informatics is held entirely in English, so as to allow a formation of the international level.
For graduation, students must acquire 120 ECTS, due to the following types of educational activities:

Teaching of the course includes:
- Lectures: the student attends to the lecture given by the teacher and processes independently listened content ;
- Exercises: the student attends supplementary classroom activities in the academic lessons deepening actively with the teacher learning content ;
- Laboratory activities: a practical application of the content of study to be carried out in the Laboratory under the guidance of the teacher.
