Educational objectives of the study program

The Bachelor of Science in Statistics for Big Data offers an educational path that is not confined to a single discipline but rather is characterized by a rich and diverse interdisciplinarity. This approach ensures that students gain a broad understanding of various fields, enhancing their ability to tackle complex data challenges.
The objective of the Course of Studies is to train statisticians with practical skills in the management and analysis of large databases that are widely used in many work contexts. This includes economic, industrial, IT, medical, and other fields. The course of study is designed to provide a clear statistical-informatics characterization, enabling students to acquire the statistical tools and IT skills necessary to handle the collection, management, analysis, and synthesis of Big Data in real-world scenarios.
The educational path is enriched with subjects from the following fields: economic-managerial, through which the student deepens topics related to economic/managerial/industrial contexts, and legislative, through which the student acquires regulatory knowledge on the relationship between data, information, and communication.
The Course of Studies also presents a connotation not only based on theoretical-formal rigor but also of an applied nature by offering numerous laboratory and internship activities.
The Course of Studies in Statistics for Big Data offers extreme flexibility for the continuation of studies.
