Ingegneria Informatica International

The Department engages in extensive internationalization activities, enabling all students enrolled in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Computer Engineering to study abroad, undertake their thesis or internship abroad, or pursue a double degree.

Additionally, the Department has an Internationalization Delegate responsible for supporting and promoting internationalization efforts in education (double degree programs), student mobility (incoming and outgoing), faculty mobility, and research by fostering collaborations with foreign universities and research institutions.

Outgoing

This section is dedicated to DIEM students who wish to explore study opportunities abroad, primarily through the ERASMUS+ program.

ERASMUS+ Program

The Erasmus+ program offers each student the opportunity to study or undertake an internship abroad for up to 12 months per study cycle (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D.).

Accessing the program is straightforward: simply complete the online application on the UNISA International website under the Study or Traineeship section. In the application, you must list five foreign universities in order of preference, selecting from those with which our Department has bilateral agreements for Study or Traineeship.

Erasmus+ calls (both for study and traineeship) will be published on the notice board of the Internationalization Office. Each call will include a first phase for all students planning mobility for the next academic year and a second phase for residual places from the first call, reserved for students planning mobility during the second semester of the next academic year.

Below is an indicative table of the call publication dates:

At the end of the Erasmus call, one of your five selected universities will be assigned as your mobility destination. To finalize your mobility, you must prepare a Learning Agreement, which lists the academic activities to be completed abroad and their equivalence to the courses in your original study plan. Be sure to consult with the DIEM professor responsible for the agreement with your assigned destination to determine which courses to include in the Learning Agreement.

Other Opportunities

We encourage you to consult the DIEM International section and the University’s Internationalization Office website to learn about other study abroad opportunities. Among these, a notable option to plan is the Double Degree Master’s Program.

Incoming

This section is dedicated to opportunities for foreign students wishing to spend a study period at DIEM.

Check the list of courses to define your Learning Agreement and consult with the contact professor at your home university who manages the agreement with DIEM to establish a connection. Reach out to the Internationalization Delegate or the Internationalization Office for additional support.
