Placements and Internships

Nanotechnology and Physics for Sustainability Placements and Internships

The teaching program for the Master's Degree in SNS will include a mandatory training internship corresponding to 6 CFU (150 hours) that students must complete during the second year of the course at external companies and institutions, both nationally and internationally, with which a specific agreement has been signed.

All study or laboratory activities related to thesis work are also recognized as internships, provided they are carried out at foreign institutions. Upon evaluation by the CdS, laboratory activities not directly related to thesis work carried out at laboratories within the University of Salerno may also be recognized as internships, as well as orientation activities or activities related to the organization of and participation in schools, conferences, master's programs, etc., and classroom or laboratory teaching activities at affiliated secondary schools.

The above activities are coordinated within the degree program by the Outgoing Orientation Commission, which will, in particular, periodically verify the availability of companies and public and/or private entities already involved in the past to continue to accept SNS students and consult with other companies or entities to be included in the list of those interested in this type of exchange. In organizing training periods at external companies, the degree program will be assisted by the Teaching and Student Careers Office of the ‘E.R. Caianiello’ Department of Physics, whose activities also include the management of curricular and extracurricular internships, external theses, and postgraduate studies.
