Placements and Internships

Ingegneria Informatica Placements and Internships

The bachelor’s degree in computer engineering includes a training internship to be carried out at companies or institutions.

The student may apply and start the activities after earning at least 120 ECTS credits.

  • To apply for the internship, the student must complete the online application on the internship management website. Once the requirements have been verified, the student can indicate up to three preferences for the project proposals available on the platform.
  • The internship will be assigned by the Delegate for External Training, Professor Luca Greco. During the assignment phase, an Academic Tutor will be appointed who, together with the Company Tutor, will finalize the preparation of the student’s training project. The assignment priority is proportional to the number of ECTS credits earned and, in the case of an equal number of credits, higher for students who are on track with their studies.
  • The student must carry out the activities specified in the Training Project according to the methods and timelines indicated therein. Additionally, the student is required to produce a daily log and a report on the activities carried out, to be submitted to the Educational Office at least 5 days before the scheduled validation date.
  • It is reminded that the internship activities must be conducted in person at the company’s premises. If, due to post-COVID-19 management policies, the company allows a portion of the hours to be completed remotely, the Company Tutor must complete an additional declaration (certificate of activity completion) to be attached to the log of in-person activities. The report and the certificate of activity completion must be submitted digitally five days before the scheduled validation date using the following form: >>submit documentation.

It should be noted that the student is required to comply with the following obligations:

  • Follow the instructions of the Academic Tutor and the Company Tutor and refer to them for any organizational or other issues.
  • Perform the internship activities within the times and locations specified in the training project.
  • Respect confidentiality obligations regarding production processes, products, or other information related to the host company/institution that may come to their knowledge, both during and after the internship.
  • Comply with company regulations and health and safety standards.
