Lingue e Culture Straniere Tutoring
Area Coordinator: prof. Domenica Falardo
The guidance and ongoing tutoring service for the degree course in Languages and Foreign Cultures aims to guide and support students throughout the various stages of their academic journey, helping them achieve their educational goals, while also minimizing the risk of failure, delays in completing their studies, and dropout.
This service, which is part of the broader system managed by the University Centre for Guidance and Tutoring (http://www.orientamento.unisa.it/), is overseen by a committee composed of Professors Domenica Falardo (coordinator), Sabrina Galano, Marina Lops, and Mario Zanucchi. It includes a series of activities aimed at:
Facilitating student access to information related to institutional procedures and relationships;
Encouraging interaction between students and teaching staff;
Helping remove potential obstacles to effective course attendance and active participation in educational activities;
Promoting the acquisition of effective study methods;
Improving the quality of learning and addressing any issues encountered during the academic process;
Encouraging student participation in university initiatives;
Informing students about opportunities to enrich their academic curriculum and make informed and constructive choices throughout their studies, including those related to their future professional paths;
Raising awareness of the value of study abroad experiences (e.g., Erasmus program) as part of their academic trajectory;
Supporting students in choosing the disciplinary area for their final thesis, helping them make the most of their skills, aptitudes, and interests.
The guidance and ongoing tutoring service for the degree course includes:
A permanent support desk offering information and guidance (see Notice No. 1 below), where students can meet with the faculty members of the "Guidance and Ongoing Tutoring" committee;
