The program has locally regulated admission. The number of available places, the content and schedule of the entrance test, as well as the procedures for assigning additional learning requirements, are published annually in the official admission notice on the University’s Registry and on the "Admission and Enrollment" page.

Enrollment in the program requires passing a specific entrance exam, consisting of multiple-choice questions designed to assess the following skills: basic grammar; comprehension of complex texts for study and learning purposes; comprehension of literary texts; logical reasoning; general knowledge.
Students who wish to choose English as one of their two foreign languages must also take and pass a specific English test, which assesses A2-level language skills through multiple-choice questions.

The program aims to provide students with a solid education in languages and literature, along with a strong understanding of the historical and cultural contexts of the studied languages (two languages chosen among French, English, Russian, Spanish, and German).
Students also acquire a solid grounding in general linguistics, Italian language and literature, European and American history and geography. Particular emphasis is placed on developing digital skills essential for entering the workforce.

Throughout the program, students are encouraged to participate in the Erasmus+ program and internships to apply their language and cultural skills in real-world contexts.

Upon graduation, students will possess transferable skills applicable to a wide range of professional fields, including cultural, tourism, and business sectors.

Graduates who wish to continue their studies may apply for the Master's Degrees in Modern Languages and Literatures (LM-37) and Linguistics and Teaching of Italian in an International Context (LM-14), both offered by the University of Salerno and designed as a continuation of the undergraduate program.
