1. Verification of Requirements: before any submission of an internship application, the student shall verify that they earned at least 126 CFUs of the 180 CFUs required by the educational regulations.
2. Fill out the Application form A student that can apply for an internship must complete the Internship Application Form (see attached), including:
- Location of the internship activities i.e. a research laboratory of the University (In-house Internship) or an external laboratory (External Internship. Please refer to the Regulation)

3. Signature and Approval: The application must be signed by the student, the external tutor (if it is an external internship) and only after by the in-house tutor. The filled form can be sent to the Careers Office by opening a ticket on unisa.it. The Careers Office, after verifying the completeness and correctness of the documentation, will send the form for signature to the Chair of the Biological Sciences Degree Program. Upon completing this approval procedure, the secretary's office will send the student the internship logbook, without which the activity cannot begin.
4. Completion of the Internship. The student must fill out the logbook, indicating the hours worked to meet all the requirements and obtain the necessary credits (CFU) for the Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. At the end of the activity, the completed logbook must be countersigned by the external tutor, if applicable, and/or by the in-house tutor. The completed logbook must then be returned via ticket to the Career Office.
5. Graduating students must submit the logbook within 30 days of the graduation session.
*External Internship: If the student chooses an external facility, the internship is defined as an "external internship." The training project must include the name and signature of an external tutor (see regulations) and must then be countersigned by the in-house tutor. The location of the activities can be chosen from those available in the list of companies affiliated with the DCB or in the list of companies affiliated with the university. If the company chosen by the student is not available on the list, the student can propose the establishment of a new agreement (see instructions below).
It should finally be noted that:
The Training Project, completed in all its parts and signed by the company (institutional representative and external tutor) and the in-house tutor, must be sent to the administration by opening a ticket at https://hd.unisa.it/ at least 15 days before the start of the internship, to allow for administrative checks and the authorization of the President of the Didactic Council.
The student cannot start the internship until the Career Office has returned the training project via e-mail with the authorization of the President of the Didactic Council.
Transitional Norms: The student should be aware of the transitional regulations, which vary according to academic year cohorts. Under these rules, students in different cohorts will have slightly different requirements for applying for internships.
